I had an absolutely amazing weekend. It was almost ruined by a cold and a terrible headache on Friday but it was alright again on Saturday. I am still coughing and sneezing but everything else is alright.
Saturday started out with an early Skype date with my dad. Since he had to leave at 11AM German time, I was up at 8.30AM to at least get a cup of coffee. I always love talking to friends and family so it obviously didn't take much effort to get up. And I did have loads of time to enjoy a long breakfast and get ready for the day, because Katharina and Chrinstine weren't due to arrive in Richmond until 1PM.
The weather was actually quite cold but we had a lovely day. I showed them around town and we walked along the Thames for a while. For our lunch break we each got a 3Pound-Meal-Deal from Tesco (Sandwich, Chips, and a drink) and just sat in the park for probably an hour. Since we all had to go to the bathroom really badly afterwards, we went looking for a McDonalds and on the way there we passed a Claire's. So we got Christine to get her ears pierced with her seconds. It was way too much fun!
At around 6PM they made their way back home and I got on a bus back to Kingston to meet up with two other AuPairs. We first went to get some sushi for dinner and afterwards went to the movies. We watched a movie called "The Riot Club". I can really recommend it to y'all. Go watch it, when it's out in your country! Here's a trailer.
Sunday started with yet another Skype date - but this time with my brother, who had to work Saturday morning. We basically had breakfast together online! :)
Aaaaaaaand Sunday I finally got to see Megan again! She and five other AuPairs from her town spend Sunday in London again, so I just tagged along as well. I met up with them in front of Pizza Express next to the Globe Theatre. We first had lunch at Pizza Express and then hopped on a boat, which took us to the Tower Bridge and then back to Westminster Abby and Big Ben. We then decided to pay Regents Park a visit and stayed there for probably one and a half hour, just talking about basically everything going on in our lives.
After that, we wanted to take the tube back to Westminster Abby and sit down for a couple drinks. We did make it back to Westminster Abby but right next to the London Eye was an exceptionally good street musician and we stayed and listened to her for probably another thirty minutes. By then it was already 8PM and since it usually takes me about an hour to get home, I had to leave by then. Plus, the cold did make it-sleve recognised by giving me a terrible headache again.
But all in all it was a lovely day and we are planning on maybe going to Brighton next Sunday, if the weather is alright.

I love all the small streets in Richmond. In a lot of them you'll find shops, small cafes, Pubs or restaurants.
Ich liebe die ganzen engen Gassen in Richmond. In vielen von ihnen findet man kleine Geschäfte, Cafes, Pubs oder Restaurants.
This woman has one of the most amazing voices I've ever heard in my life. Megan, the other girls and I were so mesmerised by her voice, we watched her until she finished her session. Emily Lee also told us that she's only been playing the guitar for two years now. She's just all around incredible!
Diese Frau hat eine der außergewöhnlichsten Stimmen, die ich seit langem gehört habe. Megan, die anderen Mädels und ich waren so verzaubert von ihrer Stimme, dass wir ihr so lange zu geschaut hat, bis sie aufhören musste. Außerdem hat sie uns erzählt, dass sie erst seit zwei Jahren Gitarre spielt, was man ihr eigentlich niemals glauben würde!
Ich hatte ein wundervolles Wochenende. Am Freitag sah es zwar noch so aus, als würde das Wochenende für mich in den Eimer fallen, da ich mit einer sehr starken Erkältung und Kopfschmerzen den Tag beendet habe, allerdings ging es mir Samstag Morgen zum Glück besser. Ich bin zwar sehr früh aufgestanden, da ich mit meinem Papa geskypt habe, der schon wieder früh weg musste, dafür musste ich aber erst um eins in Richmond sein, also habe ich einen sehr entspannten Morgen genossen. In Richmond habe ich Katharina und Christine die Stadt gezeigt, wir sind eine Zeit lang am Fluss entlang gelaufen. Zum Mittag gab es dann ein typisches 3-Pfund-Meal-Deal vom Tesco (Sandwich, Chips und ein Getränk), welches wir im Park gegessen haben. Wie es bei AuPairs so ist, die sich eine Woche lang nicht gesehen haben, gab es natürlich einiges zu bequatschen und da das Wetter gut war, blieben wir fast zwei Stunden im Park. Auf dem Weg zum McDonalds, da wir alle mal auf Toilette mussten, sind wir an einem Claire's vorbeigekommen, in dem sich Christine dann spontan noch ein paar Ohrlöcher stechen ließ.
Am Abend habe ich mich dann noch mit zwei anderen Mädels in Kingston getroffen, da wir zusammen ins Kino wollten. Zuerst gab es aber erst einmal Sushi und dann saßen wir noch ein bisschen an Themse, da wir noch mehr als eine Stunde bis zum Film hatten.
Den Film, den wir besehen haben, heißt "The Riot Club" und war wirklich gut! Hier ist ein Trailer.
Nach dem langen Tag war ich dann dank der Erkältung aber auch wirklich fertig und bin um elf direkt in mein Bett gefallen.
Sonntag war dann endlich der Tag, an dem ich Megan wieder gesehen habe. Außerdem hatte sie noch fünf weitere AuPairs aus ihrem Ort dabei, von welchen ich zwei schon kannte.
Da ich erst noch mit meinem Bruder geskypt habe, traf ich mich dann mit ihnen um halb zwei a Globe Theatre in Central London. Zuerst gab es dann Mittagessen bei Pizza Express und danach hüpften wir auf ein Boot, dass uns bis zur Tower Bridge brachte und dann wieder zurück zur Westminster Abby. Von da beschlossen wir dann, uns den Regents Park einmal anzusehen. Er ist super schön angelegt und wie eigentlich alle Parks hier in London auch super sauber gehalten. Dort haben wir mindestens eine Stunde verbracht und machten uns gegen sechs wieder auf den Weg Richtung London Eye, da wir uns dort noch einen Cocktail gönnen wollten. Allerdings haben wir direkt neben dem London Eye eine Straßenmusikerin entdeckt, deren Stimme so gut war, dass wir ihr fast eine Stunde zugehört haben. Da es dann schon acht Uhr war, musste ich mich dann schon auf den Weg zurück machen. Ich brauche meistens von dort aus gut eine Stunde nach Hause und war schon so müde, dass ich nur noch in mein Bett wollte.
